The Belgian star intends to return to his former club and the owners of Inter agree with this transfer.

Italian media have claimed that Beppe Marotta and Simone Inzaghi oppose the transfer of Romelu Lukaku to

, despite pressure from the Zhang family.

Inter have rejected an offer of €100 million plus Marcos Alonso for Romelu Lukaku, and the transfer is not final at this time.

However, reports suggest that Chelsea are preparing for a € 130 million bid for their former star, which equals Inter's asking price. Lukaku has told the club he intends to return to Chelsea and the Nerazzurri are looking for a replacement. Inter must make a profit of € 80 million before the end of the transfer window and reduce their salaries by 20%. The transfer of Achraf Hakimi to PSG was a profit of 71 million Euros for the club, but it was not enough.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter's management is reluctant to sell Lukaku and the club's owners have pressured them to finalize the transfer. It remains to be seen whether Lukaku will play for Inter next season or return to his former club.
