The bronze means more than all the golds – Simone Biles

Women’s gymnastics bronze medalist opens up about her experience in Tokyo Olympics.

American gymnast,

Simone Biles

, who previously competed in artistic gymnastics in 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the team event final, also managed to win a bronze in the women's balance beam.

In an interview with

NBC's TODAY Show

, the 24-year-old, who recently won her seventh Olympic medal, reflected on her experience in Tokyo.

"The bronze means more than all the golds because I've been through so much the last five years and the last week while I've even been here; it was just... it was very emotional,"

Biles said.

"And I'm just proud of myself and all of these girls as well."

"I didn't really care about the outcome,"

she added on the beam final.

"I was so happy that I made the routine and then I got to compete one more time."
