Juventus eye either Locatelli or Pjanic

Mon 02 August 2021 | 20:01

The Bianconeri plan to either pen a contract with Sassuolo’s Manuel Locatelli or bring Miralem Pjanic back, but not both of them, as per recent reports.

Juventus

are planning to change their midfield when

Max Allegri

reclaimed his reign at the club after Andrea Pirlo.

Manuel Locatelli

is their first target, but

Sassuolo

have yet to accept their offer of a two-year loan deal that includes an option to buy at about €35m.

However, their offer is lower than what Sassuolo demanded and what

Arsenal

proposed for the 23-year-old, but the Italy international is keen on making a move to the Bianconeri.

Miralem Pjanic

, on the other hand, is eager to depart

Barcelona

after joining last year, as he does not get much game time under Ronald Koeman.

Barcelona will be open to a loan deal, but as per reports from

Sky Sport Italia

transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Juve are open to acquiring one of these players and not both.

The other choice comes if they cash in on

Aaron Ramsey

but that seems unlikely as there aren’t any suitable offers for him and the Juventus coach praises the Welshman for his new playmaker role in the defence.
