Barcelona's efforts to unload outcast player Miralem Pjanic this summer may have gotten a boost.

Pjanic is one of the players who has been linked with a move away from Barcelona as the club attempts to recover from its financial difficulties.

The Catalan powerhouse are in debt to the tune of more than

€1 billion

, but they are also considerably above their La Liga salary ceiling.

Barcelona is anxious to sell some of their high-earners after failing to register Lionel Messi and their four new players.

Pjanic is one of such players, having been acquired in an exaggerated swap deal featuring

Arthur Melo

and Juventus. Since he arrived in 2020, he has seen little action.

Last season, the Bosnian played in 19

La Liga

matches, and he now appears to be on his way out of the club, with a move back to Juventus on the cards.

As per

Mundo Deportivo

, Fali Ramadani, the midfielder's representative, has planned meetings with Juventus in the hopes of securing a contract.

Massimiliano Allegri

, who has returned to Juventus, is reported to be interested in bringing Pjanic back to the Old Lady, and if he succeeds, Barcelona may be given a significant help in their quest to enroll Messi and their new players.
