Wayne Rooney representatives report photos to Police

Wayne Rooney’s representatives confirmed they have reported a range of explicit photos taken of Derby County boss to police.

The photos, which went viral on social media, appear to show the former

Manchester United

striker asleep in a chair with a group of young women posing beside him.

There is no suggestion

Derby County

boss did anything wrong or behaved inappropriately.

According to

Sky Sports News

, the matter has now been reported to Greater Manchester Police, who have yet to comment.

Rooney is set to begin his first full season in charge of the Rams after having taken over in the middle of last season upon the firing of

Phillip Cocu


While Derby avoided relegation from the Championship at the end of last season, the embattled club currently have only nine senior players registered.

Rooney recently said it will be “impossible” for him to field a team for Derby County in their opening Championship encounter with Huddersfield Town unless they make significant signings.
