Benzema's injury not serious - Deschamps

The Real Madrid star is very upset that he got injured in last night's friendly match.

Didier Deschamps, the head coach of the

French national team

, claimed that Karim Benzema's injury in last night's friendly match against Bulgaria was not serious.

Benzema, who was called up to the French national team again after 6 years, played a friendly match last night and was forced to leave the field after an injury. The Real Madrid star was very upset by this, but his injury does not seem to be very serious and Benzema is expected to be ready to return to the field for the match against Germany. Now Deschamps also confirmed that the knock on Benzema's leg was not hard and his injury is not serious.

"It's a knock,"

he told M6 at half-time.

"He took a good hit on the muscle above the knee, and he felt that it was getting worse so we took no risk. The medical staff is currently with him."

Deschamps added:

"He felt it so you shouldn't take a risk. That's why he came off. It's a knock, there's always worse things in life.

"The medical staff are of a high level. We will do the right thing and not spend every day wondering how he is doing. It's hard to digest but you have to deal with it. Today, it's nothing dramatic."
