FC Barcelona keen on signing Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is still putting together their team for next season, and there are plenty of names tied to the side. Kalidou Koulibaly, a 29-year-old Senegalese central defender for Napoli, was first named under Eric Abidal's tenure as sporting director.

Koulibaly is under contract with Napoli until the summer of 2023, but he is looking for a more challenging project. He's said to want to move to Barcelona, and Napoli's financial woes suggest they may be willing to sell. Napoli are currently in fifth place in

Serie A

, two points behind fourth-placed Milan.

Napoli's chairman, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has reduced his initial demands to between €50m and €60m. In addition to Barcelona,

Manchester City

and

Manchester United

are said to be interested in signing the center-back. Barcelona is thought to be open to having Samuel Umtiti in any future contract, despite the fact that he does not have a spot at Camp Nou.
