Ramos wants La Liga after the UCL defeat
Real Madrid captain says that they should focus on the domestic title now.
After
Real Madrid’sdefeat in the Champions League semi-final against
Chelsea
, their captain
Sergio Ramos
has reacted to the matter, saying that despite the players’ disappointment with the defeat, they still have the domestic crown to claim.
Zidane’s
men saw their dream of having 14 Champions League titles go away in their bad performance against the English side, and now they will have to watch the final between two English teams.
The captain, however, has used Instagram and Twitter to encourage his teammates and the supporters to stay focused on what remains to claim in the rest of the season as they still have the chance to win La Liga.
"F*cked, yes. But we're not finished,"
Ramos wrote.
"A history built on victories but Real Madrid has always risen from defeats.
"The league title is still there for us and we're up for it."
Zidane’s
men are the second team on the La Liga table with only four games remaining of the season, and they are two points away from Atletico Madrid. They have 74 points, the same as Barcelona and four points ahead of Sevilla.
Real Madrid is going to face Sevilla in their next La Liga clash before traveling to Granada and Athletic Club, and they will end the season with a match against Villarreal on May 23.
