Ansu Fati

has already gone under the knife and missed a crucial season in his career due to injury.

The 18-year-old will go under another surgery next Thursday at the hands of Portugal’s doctor, Dr. Antonio Maestro, of Gijon, and Dr. Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet, of Lyon. The trio have been in touch in the last couple of weeks, planning a highly personalized test on the teenager’s knee and helping him get back on his feet.

Their main focus was on finding out if surgery was needed and they came to an agreement that Ansu does need it since his joint is not yet recovered. They are hoping that the surgery will put an end to his meniscus problems. If everything runs smoothly, he will not return to action for at least two months.
