Ibrahimovic close to signing new deal with Milan, confirms Maldini

AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini has confirmed Zlatan Ibrahimovic is very close to signing a one-year extension to his current deal at San Siro.

on Saturday, confirmed contract negotiations are almost at their conclusion and they are working on details.

“With Ibra, we are very close to an agreement, there are just a few minor details to be resolved.”

told Sky Sport Italia.

Ibrahimovic, who helped Milan win their last Serie A title in 2011, is the club's top scorer with 15 goals.

However, there are other key players who will be out of contract at the end of the current season.

Gianluigi Donnarumma

and

Hakan Calhanoglu

are yet to agree new deals.

And Maldini is not positive about contract extensions with both players.

“These are choices everyone has to make. I am not here to judge, I am here to do what is best for the club. I also know that you need two parties to be happy in order to strike a deal.”
