Man Utd and Tottenham interested in signing with Nick Pope

The Red Devils and the Spurs are eyeing a move for Nick Pope, Burnley’s shot-stopper.

Manchester United

goalkeeper

David de Gea

is attracting the attention of many suitors as

Dean Henderson

became the No. 1 at Old Trafford. The arrangement is temporary as De Gea is away in Spain with his partner for the birth of his child.

Henderson, on the other hand, will not agree to be sidelined once again next season and would demand to be a first-choice goalkeeper. United may decide to cash in on their prolific shot-stopper De Gea, if Henderson’s request is agreed with, with

Paris Saint-Germain

keen on signing with the Spain international.

The Red Devils may also be interested in recruiting another goalkeeper in the summer, with many arguing that it is too soon for Henderson to become No. 1 at United, according to the

Daily Star

.

Nick Pope

is a target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side as he is trying to win Henderson and Jordan Pickford in entering England’s starting lineup.

The England international Pope’s transfer fee would be £50m, as Chelsea tried to sign with the

Burnley

shot-stopper last summer.

United may have to compete for the 28-year-old’s signature as

Tottenham

are also looking for a replacement for Hugo Lloris. The France international is being targeted by PSG.

Should United fail to acquire Pope’s services, who is impressing with his performance this season, they may link with Robert Sanchez from Brighton.

Pope helped his side vanquish Everton 2-1, leading Burnley further away from the relegation zone

Manchester United are set to face

West Ham

on Sunday, while Tottenham will lock horns with

Arsenal

.
