Valencia manager Javi Gracia indifferent to sacking talks

Valencia under-fire manager Javi Gracia has said he is indifferent to rumors that the club might sack him in the coming days.

Valencia

have just managed to win three out of nine La Liga matches since the start of the New Year and the latest 3-0 defeat against

Getafe

placed more pressure on the coach, who sees his side sliding right down into the bottom half of the table.

The club’s prolonged run of poor form is worrying the owners that relegation is a possibility, leaving

Gracia

in a vulnerable position.

However, Gracia told reporters from

Marca

that he is only focusing on their next game.

“I am disappointed with today’s game, very sad with the way we have played,”

he said at full time

.

“From my position, all I do is think about the next game, and prepare for it.

“I am not a problem for the club. I am worker and the club knows I want the best for the club and the best thing is to prepare for the next game.”

Gracia, if he is not sacked by the club this week, will clash with neighbors

Villarreal

on March 5.
