Ter Stegen: "Messi would certainly have been an asset for us"
Messi joined Inter Miami after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi, after playing for two seasons with Paris Saint-Germain, left the team upon the expiration of his contract and joined Inter Miami.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen, a former teammate of Messi at
Barcelona, reportedly told SPOX that Barcelona is Messi's home.
"He would certainly have been an asset for us. Maybe he'll return in another role at some point. Barcelona is his club and will always be a big part of his life. Many people here are still in contact with him. A few players he was very close with are now in Miami with him."

Messi had intended to return to Barcelona after his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, but ultimately was unable to sign a contract with the team.
