Luton Town have signed Ross Barkley on a free transfer
Luton Town have announced the signing of Ross Barkley.
The former Chelsea and Everton midfielder has joined the newcomers to the Premier League on a free transfer.
Barkley, after signing a contract with
Luton Town, said on the official club website that returning to Premier League has been a motivating factor for him.
“Why Luton? Going from the Conference to the Premier League is a great story and for me personally to be back in the Premier League, it’s great motivation,”
he said.
“I’m still relatively young and over the last couple of years I’ve not played as much as I’d have liked.
“But I’ve reserved a lot of energy and looked after myself, so it’s great to be here now as I’ve got a lot to show but I’m ready and feeling motivated.”
Ross Barkley scored four goals in 27 appearances for Nice in Ligue 1 last season.
Luton Town will play against Brighton in their first Premier League match.
