PSG offer a mouth-watering salary to Marcus Rashford as talks with United halt

Manchester United has reportedly made no significant progress in negotiations over a new contract with Marcus Rashford, while Paris Saint-Germain are said to be closely monitoring the situation.

Despite his impressive form, Manchester United have reportedly made little progress in contract talks with Marcus Rashford, leaving the door open for PSG to potentially make a move.

Rashford has had an outstanding season, scoring a personal-best of 27 goals so far, which is a stark contrast to his struggles in the previous campaign. The English forward is considered to be among the best players in the world currently.

's impressive performances this season, Manchester United have not made any significant progress in contract negotiations with the player.

Although United have already triggered a 12-month extension in his current contract, which is set to expire in 2024, an extension beyond that has not been agreed upon. The Athletic has reported that talks have not advanced much.

Despite the interest from PSG, Rashford is not in a hurry to make a decision about his future. Manchester United are also dealing with several other players whose contracts are expiring, including Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot, Fred and David de Gea. However, Rashford is a top priority for the Red Devils.

PSG's chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has previously acknowledged that the club has spoken to representatives of Rashford, whom he described as a "really amazing" player.

According to reports, PSG had previously made a bid for Rashford that was worth over £400,000 per week, but the player was not persuaded to move to France.

However, the Ligue 1 club is still keeping an eye on the situation, and it is imperative for Manchester United to act promptly and with determination if they want to retain a player who has come up through their academy.
