Argentina's training camp will be named "Lionel Andres Messi"

After winning his Copa America and World Cup with his country, Messi will be immortalized as Argentina's training camp will be named "Lionel Andres Messi".

Argentina hosted France in the 2022 World Cup final on Sunday as Lionel Messi’s men displayed a masterclass to win the World Cup for their nation for the third time.

Now, the head of the Argentine Football Association Chiqui Tapia revealed that Argentina's training centre, which was previously known as the Casa de Ezeiza, will be known as "Lionel Andres Messi" from March 25 onwards, hailing the PSG striker as "

the best player in the world".

Lionel Messi was awarded the 2022 World Cup Golden Ball for a second time after his stunning performances at the tournament. Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain teammate, Kylian Mbappe, won the tournament’s Golden Boot after scoring 8 goals in the tournament, one more than Messi.

The Argentine previously won the 2014 World Cup Golden Ball as he led Argentina to the finals where they lost to Germany. However, Messi completed the job this time as he not only scored a brace but also scored his penalty in the shoot-out.
