Julian Alvarez renews his contract with Man City until 2028

After a promising season with the Citizens following his arrival from River Plate, the Argentine striker has agreed to a one-year extension with the club that keeps him until 2028.

The 22-year-old striker, who joined Man City from River Plate for a fee of €23 million in 2022, has scored 10 goals in 33 appearances through all competitions this season. As a result, the club rewarded Julian Alvarez with a new contract that keeps him until 2028.

“This is a very proud moment for me and my family. For a club like City to put their faith in me like this is amazing,"

Alvarez told City's official club website.

“I have been really pleased with my first season here, but I have plenty more I can do. I know I can be better, and City offer me everything I need to fulfill my potential."

City signed Julian Alvarez from River Plate last January and now is on the verge of snapping up another Argentine player. Alvarez who played a key role for Argentina in the 2022 World Cup has scored ten goals in his first 33 games for City.
