Tebas confirms that only Real Madrid have the financial stability to sign Mbappe
Javier Tebas, the president of La Liga, has stated that only Real Madrid could afford to sign Kylian Mbappe in La Liga and expressed his desire to see the Frenchman playing in the league.
Javier Tebas has recently commented on the ongoing rumours linking Kylian Mbappe back to
Real Madrid, saying that they are the only team capable of purchasing the French star in La Liga. He also stated that he would like to see Mbappe playing in the Spanish league. This comes less than a year after Mbappe was on the verge of joining Real Madrid before opting to stay at Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking to Spanish outlet Vamos, Tebas discussed
Mbappe:
"In La Liga, the only club that can buy Mbappe is Real Madrid. I’d like to see him in the league."
Last summer, Real Madrid's attempt to sign Mbappe was widely publicized, with many expecting him to join the club for the 2022-23 season. However, he surprised many by signing a new contract with PSG. Since then, PSG's lack of progress has resulted in renewed rumors linking Mbappe with a move to Real Madrid, which many believe is inevitable.
Tebas has been vocal about Barcelona's financial struggles and has not shied away from criticizing the club in the past.
