David De Gea records historic 400th appearance for Manchester United

Manchester United keeper De Gea makes his 400th Premier League appearance for the Red Devils, with no non-British players making as much.

David De Gea has made his 400th appearance for

Manchester United

in the Premier League. Since its start in 1992, there has been no non-British players that have made as much appearances for one club as De Gea has.

The Spaniard joined Manchester United in 2011, coming from Atletico Madrid, and has been United’s first-choice keeper ever since.

De Gea has won a Premiere League title, FA Cup, League Cup and the Europa League in his time at Manchester United. He has also made it to 5 PFA Team of the Year and has been nominated for Manchester United’s Player of the Season four times.

DE Gea becomes one of the only 8 non-English players that have over 400 top-flight appearances in England. Those other 7 players would be Mark Schwarzer (514), Sylvain Distin (469), Brad Friedel (450), Shay Given (450), John O'Shea (445), Petr Cech (443), Jussi Jaaskelainen (436) and Richard Dunne (431).
