Barcelona considering loan deal for Manchester United's Anthony Elanga

Barcelona is considering signing Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga on a loan deal before the transfer window closes tonight.

According to ESPN,

Barcelona

is thinking about signing a forward on the transfer deadline day and

Manchester United

winger

Anthony Elanga

is one of their options.

Barcelona sold Memphis Depay in January, while Ousmane Dembele will be out of action for a few weeks. The Catalan club is considering its options and Elanga has been offered to them.

Swedish winger Elanga will be allowed to leave on a loan deal this month after limited game time this season. Elanga signed a long-term deal back in 2021, keeping him at Old Trafford until 2026. Everton was interested in signing him, but Manchester United rejected their offer.

Barcelona also wants to sign a midfielder to provide cover for Sergio Busquets and reportedly wants to sign Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina on loan, but the Italian club is reluctant to let him leave on loan.

ESPN claims that Barcelona is also interested in signing Los Angeles Galaxy right-back Julian Araujo on loan, with an option to make the move permanent. The Report suggests that the talks are ongoing between the clubs. The Blaugrana defender Hector Bellerin is set to join Sporting CP on Tuesday.

Barcelona only has a small amount of salary space to be able to register players this season, and therefore they only can sign players on loan deals.

Xavi's side is five points clear of Real Madrid at the top of the La Liga table.
