Arsenal closing on a deal to sign Brighton winger Leandro Trossard

Arsenal are rapidly advancing in negotiations to bring Brighton winger Trossard to the Emirates.

The Gunners are in advanced talks to bring Brighton Hove & Albion’s winger

Leandro Trossard

to the Emirates stadium on a permanent deal.

Having already seen their main transfer target Mykhailo Mudryk join Chelsea, the Gunners have looked to alternative options when it comes to signing a winger which would suit their style of football and it seems that the 28-year-old Trossard is their answer.

The Belgian winger has been instrumental in Brighton’s rise in the Premier League both under Graham Potter and his replacement De Zerbi but recent altercations with manager De Zerbi has left him out fo the Italian’s plans for Brighton.

The Gunners, amongst other London clubs Tottenham and Chelsea, have had their eyes on Trossard for a while but with their ideal target now joining Chelsea, they now have seize the chance to sign a proven Premier League talent.

The Belgian, who joined from Genk in 2019, has scored 7 goals this season so far, including a hat-trick at Anfield. He only needs a goal to reach his tally of goals from last season. His assists so far is the same as last season where he recorded 3 assists.

With their title challenge in full swing and them 8 points clear from second-place Manchester City, the

Gunners

are adamant to bring in reinforcements in order to combat the busy schedule they are about to have in the second part of the season.
