Conor Gallagher. Sky Sports claims that at the moment
Chelseahas not decided whether to keep Gallagher or sell him.
The report claims that
Crystal Palaceis also interested in the English player. They want to sign a midfielder and a right-back this month. The 22-year-old Gallagher played for Palace last season on a loan deal. He managed to score eight goals in 39 games.
Gallagher joined Chelsea at the age of eight and was awarded Chelsea's Academy Player of the Year for the 2018–19 season. He spent loan spells at Charlton Athletic, Swansea City, and West Bromwich Albion before joining Crystal Palace in 2021. Gallagher returned to Chelsea last summer but failed to meet expectations this season and only has scored one goal in 24 matches. Gallagher made his debut for England in 2021 and was named in England's squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Chelsea has signed five players in the January transfer window including Joao Felix, Andrey Santos, Benoit Badiashile, David Datro Fofana, and Mykhailo Mudryk. The Blues have already spent over £400m on transfers since the start of the summer and they also want to sign a midfielder after failing to land Enzo Fernandez. Reports suggest that they are considering making a move for Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.
