Marco Asensio aims to stay at Real Madrid for 10 more years

Former Malaga winger, Marco Asensio has been enjoying a renaissance at Real Madrid which has raised questions about his contract situation.

After Asensio’s failed contract extension talks with real Madrid earlier in 2022, the 26-year-old winger wanted to leave the club in the summer but there was no outside interest for him. But Asensio grew into the season and is now back to form which has generated the talk of contract extension again.

The winger spoke to RadioMarca recently, addressing those rumors and commenting on his feelings about staying at Madrid longer.

“There is talk that I am changing

Real Madrid

’s mind. But I have always tried to give the best that I have within me, and then later on people will be know about it. The one who decides, too, is the club, it does not only depend on me. After the World Cup We’ll both make a decision.”

Marco Asensio

expressed his wishes to stay at the club for longer but the decision to renew his contract ultimately comes down to Real Madrid itself.

“Do I want to renew? Hopefully it can happen and I’ll be very happy at Real Madrid for many years, hopefully everything will work out so I can stay for 10 more years.”
