Vice-President Zanetti reaffirms Inter’s full trust in Simone Inzaghi

Sitting seventh in the Serie A table with 4 wins and three losses out of their starting 7 games, the Inter boss is under a lot of criticism. However, Inter vice-president Zanetti reaffirms the club's trust.

This season, the Inter boss

Simone Inzaghi

is under a lot of pressure after starting the Serie A season with three defeats in their seven games, dropping all the 3 points against Lazio, Milan, and Udinese, and another Champions League opener defeat against Bayern has put

Inter

's head coach's future in doubt.

Inter vice-president

Zavier Zanetti

backs their manager saying the club’s board has never had any doubt in Inzaghi. He told

Tuttomercato

:

"There has always been confidence in Inzaghi, the merits are never of just one person.

"There is a group that has very clear objectives and we are all going in the same direction."

Inzaghi took over from

Antonio Conte

in 2021's summer as Inter lost a close title race to their arch-rivals, Milan in his first season in reign. Despite that, the former

Lazio

manager led the Nerazzurri to win Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana last season. Zanetti still believes Inter can turn things around this season.

"We must be a resilient, humble team, and then it will depend on our ability to be protagonists because I am convinced that there are the conditions to be able to do so,”

Zanetti added

.

After the international break,

Inter

will get back to Serie A action against

Roma

next Saturday.
