Japan dominates the USA as Kamada and Mitmoma seal a 2-0 victory

Japan dominated the United States in their World Cup preparations with a deserved 2-0 victory as Arsenal’s Matt Turner was the USMNT star denying Japan to score more goals.

Ahead of this November's Qatar World Cup,

Japan

draw a line for their opponents with an outstanding performance against the USA on Friday.

With Chelsea's

Pulisic

missing the match due to a minor injury, Grep Berhalter's team struggled from the first whistle as Arsenal keeper

Matt Turner

got a lot of action during the match. After first denying

Daichi Kamada

with a reflex save in the 13th minute, the Eintracht Frankfurt striker beat him in the 24th minute when he tucked a neat first-time finish. Although the flag was raised for offside, the VAR review allowed the goal to stand.

Kaoru Mitoma

sealed Japan a 2-0 victory over

the Americans

in the 88th minute. Gregg Berhalter's team produced a disappointing performance as Brenden Aaronson's wild effort was USA's closest effort for a comeback.

While Japan faces Germany, Costa Rica, and Spain in the Group E of the

Qatar World Cup

,

the United States has to face Wales, England, and Iran in the Group B of the tournament with their opening game against Wales set to kick off on November 21.
