, recently made a statement on the TV show El Chiringito, claiming
Vinicius Junior's goal celebration is a lack of respect to the opponents. He said: “
You have to respect your opponents. When you score a goal, if you want to dance Samba, you should go to the sambodromo in Brazil. You have to respect your mates and stop playing the monkey.”
After these words were published, many reactions were directed at Bravo for racism. Ahead of
Atletico’scrucial Sunday derby against
Real Madrid,
the Rojibloncos’ president offered his support to the 22-year-old as he urged a collective show of "respect".
