Jordi Alba is frustrated over Barcelona's attempt to loan him to Inter

To free up enough salary space to register their new signing, Marcos Alonso, the Spanish giants reportedly agreed to loan the defender to Inter for the season, but he angrily refused to leave.

Jordi Alba

, who joined

Barcelona

in 2012, has been one of the most effective players of the club during his 10-year presence in this club and has played an important role in its success.

However, the La Masia graduate opened up about his emotions regarding the club’s attempts to offload him to

Inter Milan

this summer. Alba has featured sparingly under

Xavi

so far this season.

Alba said at an event:

"I can only tell you that my thought has always been to be at Barcelona. I see myself qualified to be here, otherwise I would be the first to leave.

“Then the club will look at their interests. I have always shown my commitment to the club, to the coaches... I will never get into the issues of club interests, I can't tell you more. I'd like to tell you more, but I'm not going to."

“These days any player can make you look silly and take your place. I deal with it as I think all of us have to do so. If another player comes on the left side, perfect.”

Being in starting line-up for Barca's Champions League victory over

Viktoria Plzen

in midweek, the Spaniard probably would be left out of their squad for their Saturday La Liga game against

Cadiz

.
