Dortmund's boss Terzic confirms Gio Reyna's injury return

While giving unfortunate news about Mateu Morey who has to undergo surgery, the Dortmund boss confirmed their American wonderboy will be back from injury this weekend.

Ahead of

’s Bundesliga game against

Hoffenheim

on Friday night, Terzic confirmed

Mateu Morey

will be sidelined for several months. The

La Masia

graduate joined Dortmund in 2019 and made a total of 29 appearances for the Bundesliga side over the past two seasons. However, unfortunate injuries once again hit the Spanish full-back.

Unfortunately, Mateu will not be available to us for a long time,”

Edin Terzić

told his press conference.

“He had to undergo surgery on the lateral meniscus of his left knee yesterday. Accordingly, we will have to do without him in the coming months. Of course, that hurts us a lot.”

 

The Dortmund manager gave a positive injury update, confirming

Gio Reyna

could make his injury comeback this weekend against Hoffenheim.

For [Donyell] Malen, it will not be enough until the weekend. There are still question marks with [Mahmoud] Dahoud and [Karim] Adeyemi. Gio Reyna has been back in training since Sunday, with him it looks good for Friday.”
