Ronaldo should stand up and speak about his situation - Neville

Ronaldo is very close to the exit doors of Old Trafford.

Gary Neville asked

Cristiano Ronaldo

to stand up and speak about his situation at

Manchester United

.

The Red Devils failed to reach the Champions League last season, and this made Ronaldo, who returned to Old Trafford from

Juve

only a year ago, intend to leave the stadium. The Red Devils did not have a good start under the leadership of Ten Hag in the Premier League and suffered defeats in their first two games.

Although Ronaldo's name is heard around many clubs, Chelsea and Bayern Munich rejected the opportunity to recruit him, and joining Atletico Madrid will hurt his image as a legend of Real Madrid. Following their recent humiliating defeat to the Bees, United are said to be looking to terminate Ronaldo's contract if his approach fails to improve, and Neville has now called on his former team-mate to stand up and talk about his situation.

"They know the truth when [sic] interview in a few weeks. Media only speaks lies. I have a notebook and in the last few months of the 100 news that made only five [accurate] hits, imagine how things are."

Ronaldo's former team-mate Neville has urged the 37-year-old not to wait to speak out, with the club in "crisis".

"Why does the greatest player of all time (in my opinion) have to wait two weeks to tell Manchester United fans the truth?" Neville wrote on Twitter.

"Stand up now and speak. The club is in crisis and it needs leaders to lead. He's the only one who can grab this situation by the scruff of the neck!"
