Manchester United still hopeful of signing De Jong

Crystal Palace is interested in signing Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka on loan while United still believes in De Jong deal.

According to Sky Sport, Crystal Palace is interested in signing their former player from

United

on a loan deal.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

joined United from Palace in 2019 for £50m. Wan-Bissaka still has two years left on his contract.

Sky Sport claims that United is open to the sale of Wan-Bissaka but if decides to stay he will be in Ten Hag’s plans although it seems Diogo Dalot will be the club's first choice right-back for next season.

Crystal Palace manager Manager Patrick Vieira recently was asked about a possible return of Wan-Bissaka.

He told reporters:

”Names are difficult to talk about, We already have a couple of good players down the right who are performing well."

Sky Sport

also reports that Manchester United still is hopeful about the signing of Barcelona's

Frenkie de Jong

. United have alternatives to De Jong but at the moment they are still waiting for De Jong's decision.

United reportedly has agreed to a fee of €85million for De Jong with Barcelona but the player so far has refused to leave the Catalan club.

United directors believe s their backup targets are not at the same level as De Jong but are determined to back their new Erik ten Hag in the transfer window.
