has been on the hunt for a right-back since last summer as Kieran Trippier left to play his country for Newcastle United. Nahuel Molina appeared as a perfect candidate to replace the English fullback as

Marca

reports Atletico Madrid is closing in on the signing of Nahuel Molina from Udinese. Molina, an Argentina regular at the age of 24, played 37 games for Udinese in the Serie A last year and contributed 8 goals and 5 assists.

It’s earlier been reported that

Barcelona

was also interested in signing the Argentine. Since arriving in he’s contributed ten goals and ten assists for Udinese in the 68 appearances he’s made across all competitions.
