Leeds United put a special clause in Raphinha's contract

Leeds United is not optimistic about Barcelona's economic situation in the coming years.

Barcelona

's critical economic situation has made Leeds United put a special clause in his contract.

The Blaugrana reached an agreement with Raphinha in the summer and were able to sign him. Although the amount of the transfer has not been announced, it is said that Leeds United will receive 55 million euros for this transfer. But on the other hand, Barcelona's economic situation is still critical, and they have 1.3 billion euros in debt, and they still have problems registering players. This situation should have improved with the sale of assets in June, and the sale of more assets has been approved by the club members.

Veteran Brazilian defender Dani Alves played an important role in this transfer, and Deco, Raphinha's agent, also tried his best to lower the transfer price. However, Leeds United, who are aware of Barcelona's economic situation, put a clause in the contract that shows their lack of trust in Barca. In fact, if Barca does not pay their payments according to the schedule, they will have to pay 10 million euros as a fine.

The Premier League club is not sure that Barca will be able to make the payments on time, and therefore, such a clause has been included in the contract.
