Braithwaite wants to fight for his place at Barcelona

It’s been reported earlier that Xavi Hernandez doesn’t have a place for the Dane in his squad as he wants the striker to be offloaded. However, the striker won’t quit without a fight.

Diario Sport

has reported that the 30-year-old striker is one of the most reluctant players to leave the Barca squad even though the Blaugrana boss Xavi Hernández doesn’t count on him for the upcoming season. The Danish international believes playing for Barcelona is a great opportunity for his sporting life as he cares less about the money.

Several clubs in both La Liga and abroad are reportedly interested in signing him on a permanent deal

Barcelona

wants in the region of €8m. Braithwaite will reportedly stay at the club unless a club he found attractive emerged as a viable option.

Martin Braithwaite

had represented Esbjerg fB, Toulouse, Middlesborough, and Bordeaux previously before signing for the Camp Nou side in 2020. He has registered 10 goals and five assists across his 57 appearances for the club.

Barcelona is reportedly negotiating with two teams in the Premier that could solve the situation. Since the Danish forward’s salary is one of the lowest in the squad and many teams could assume it, offloading him won’t be a great problem for the Catalans. The Dane is also a regular for his international team as competed at Euro 2020 and made it to the semi-final with Denmark, where they were beaten by England in a hard-fought clash.
