Real Madrid will keep Odriozola as Carvajal's rival

It seems that the Spanish defender will spend the next season in Madrid.

Reports from Spain suggest that

Real Madrid

are planning to keep

Alvaro Odriozola

to compete with

Dani Carvajal

at right back.

Odriozola has been one of Real Madrid's failed signings in recent seasons and has spent most of his time at the Santiago Bernabeu on loan in other teams. He also played for Fiorentina last season, but will return to Madrid in the summer when his loan deal expires, and at 26, he has plenty of motivation to prove his abilities.

If he can show his high motivation to Carlo Ancelotti, the Italian coach will not think of attracting a rival for Dani Carvajal and will try to use the former Bayern Munich defender on the right side of the defense. In this way, Lucas Vasquez, who has been Carvajal's rival in Real Madrid's defense in the last few seasons, can play in the attack line from next season.

Odriozola has high offensive abilities and can cause trouble for the opponent's defense line, but Real Madrid's concern has always been his performance in defense, and if he can be successful in this task, he can play an important role in the Santiago Bernabeu next season.
