West Ham rejected Chelsea's latest offer for Rice

The English midfielder has attracted a lot of attention with his exceptional performance in recent seasons.

West Ham United

have reportedly rejected

Chelsea

's new offer to sign

Declan Rice

.

The Hammers are trying to keep Rice in the summer transfer window, announcing that their future captain will not be sold for less than £150 million. David Moyes has been able to build a team around Rice that is fighting to be in the top four. After appearing in the Europa League semi-finals last season, they will be in the Europa Conference League next season.

So they hope to be able to sign a new contract with Rice before the start of the new season, which may include a new termination clause. However, Chelsea are still trying to sign Rice and intend to transfer the English midfielder to Stamford Bridge. The Blues have negotiated with West Ham's main shareholder, David Sullivan, and he has told them that West Ham have no interest in selling Rice.

However, Chelsea will continue to try to sign him and Armando Broja and Ross Barkley are expected to be offered as part of the transfer to Moyes. There are two years left in Rice's contract and West Ham are trying to make Rice the highest paid player on the team with a new contract.
