Roma met with Zaniolo agent amid Milan and Juventus interest

Nicolò Zaniolo’s agent has met with Roma directors to discuss his future.

According to the Italian press,

Roma

director Tiago Pinto met with

Nicolò Zaniolo’

s agent on Thursday to talk about Italy's international future. These reports claim that Pinto will have another meeting with Zaniolo’s agent in near future.

Zaniolo’s future is uncertain at the Stadio Olimpico but he has a contract with Roma until 2024 and therefore the Giallorossi are in no rush to discuss a contract extension, although the club has is open to selling him if they receive an offer at around 50 to 60 million euros. Roma acquired the Italian forward for around €4.5m plus a 15% resale from Inter in 2018. He just earns €2.2m net per season in Rome.

Milan and

Juventus

are interested in Zaniolo but they have not made any offer to the player at the moment. Gazzetta Dello Sport recently claimed that Milan has offered Roma €25m plus Alexis Saelemaeke which has been rejected.

The 22-year-old Zaniolo scored 8 goals and provided 9 assists in 42 matches last season under Jose Mourinho. He started the season rather slow however, he progressed as the season went by and scored in the Europa Conference League final against Feyenoord.
