Atalanta to sign Demiral from Juventus on a permanent deal

Atalanta are exercising their option to pen a contract with Merih Demiral permanently from the Bianconeri.

Merih Demiral

has been a key player at the Bergamo last season, featuring in 45 matches across all competitions and earning praise for his displays in Europe as well.

Having impressed with those performances, the club wanted to exercise their option to pen him on a permanent deal, and that is what they have done.

Juventus

released via press that he has completed a move to

Atalanta

:

"Juventus Football Club S.p.A announces that Atalanta B.C. S.p.A., following the agreement signed on 6 August 2021, has exercised the option rights for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Merih Demiral for a consideration of €20m, to be paid in 4 financial years; which might be increased by a maximum of €2.5m upon achievement of specific sporting performance objectives over the duration of the employment contract with the player.”
