Fraser Forster joined Tottenham as a free agent

Tottenham Hotspur have signed Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster.

The 34-year-old England international will join the club on a three-year agreement, becoming the club's second summer signing after Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic.

Pierluigi Gollini's loan tenure with Spurs has come to an end, with the Italian going back to his hometown club Atalanta at the end of a season in which he only made 10 appearances, none of which were in the

Premier League

.

Fraser has appeared in 134 Premier League games and has 42 clean sheets to his name.

In August 2014, he joined

Southampton

from Celtic, having started his career with his hometown club Newcastle. 

The 6ft 7ins goalie has also received six England caps, the most recent coming in the build-up to the 2016 European Championships.

Tottenham

is also in negotiations with Inter Milan about signing Alessandro Bastoni, an Italian international.
