Everton

.

Palace, who were 2-0 up in the first half, lost 3-2 at the end and the Toffees were able to prevent their relegation with a dramatic victory. This exciting victory caused the fans to enter the pitch and start celebrating after the final whistle, but one of the fans got into a fight with Patrick Vieira and tried to harass him.

The former Arsenal midfielder did not care about the fans at first, but after the stubbornness of the Everton fan, a fight broke out between the two, and the french manager was then taken off the field by other Everton fans. Vieira did not appear at the press conference after the game, but Everton boss Frank Lampard claimed he felt for him.

He said:

"I feel for Patrick. I didn't get him at the end. I would have said, 'come in with us' – although he might not have wanted that.

"Of course he ran 80 yards across the pitch and it's not easy."

Asked about fans entering the pitch, Lampard said:

"It was pure elation of fans who have come on the pitch after avoiding relegation.

"If it is done in the right way let them stay on the pitch, let them have their moment. As long as they behave, no problem."
