Real Madrid reach Champions League final after incredible comeback

Real Madrid stunned Manchester City and book a spot in the Champions League final against Liverpool.

Carlo Ancelotti's side beat

Manchester City

3-1 in the extra time at the Bernabeu on Wednesday to reach the

Champions League

final with a 6-5 win on aggregate after producing one of the most dramatic comebacks in the history of the competition.

Man City takes the lead in the 73rd minute through Riyad Mahrez but Rodrygo who came on as a substitute scored in the 90th and 91st minutes to level the aggregate score and send the semifinal to extra time.

Benzema won and scored a penalty in the first five minutes of extra time to give Madrid a lead.

Real Madrid

will now face Liverpool in the final at the Stade de France on May 28. 

Real will play in their 17th European cup final. In their last final in 2018 they beat Liverpool. Real has won this competition 13 times.

Liverpool will play in their 10th European cup final. They have won 6 European titles.
