Ligue 1 to implement two measures after PSG’s financial imbalances

Ligue 1 will have to interfere to control the finances of PSG.

As per reports from

L’Equipe

as carried by Diario AS, the DNCG, the financial body in charge of supervising the accounts of French clubs, will try to control

Paris Saint-Germain

’s finances by implementing two new measures.

The first one is that no club will have a wage that is more than 70% of the income, with PSG’s wage being 91% of its income. Therefore, they will have to fix that.

The second measure they plan to implement is that no club will be able to have a debt bigger than its share capital. However, this will not affect PSG since they always inject capital through QSI.

Since the French football authorities realized what PSG’s financial situation is, they decided to take that under control and stop

Ligue 1

’s integrity from being damaged.

PSG have already won the title in the 2021-22 season as they are leading the table with 14 points in their advantage from

Marseille

, who sit second. There are only three games left to be played.

This is regardless of the fact that they have received a lot of criticism this season and manager Mauricio Pochettino will most likely depart the club.
