Sevilla’s Fernando out of action for the remainder of the season

The Brazilian midfielder has sustained an injury last month but chose to take a conservative treatment to make sure he was available for an important last stretch of the season, as per reports from

Following every training session, he participated in his ankle swelled up and he gave in. He will undergo surgery tomorrow.

The

midfielder is one of the key players at the Sanchez-Pizjuan, able to marshal the midfielder as well as drop between Jules Kounde and Diego Carlos.

However, his unavailability comes at a time Sevilla are struggling with injury hit and are out of form. They are sitting second in the

table but

may take them over if they get defeated in their game on the weekend.
