Hazard fit but Real Madrid still plan to sell the Belgian
The player acquired on a big money transfer by Real Madrid in 2019 has not lived up to the expectations under Carlo Ancelotti notwithstanding insisting that he is prepared to contribute.
According to
Jorge C. Picon
, when
Eden Hazard
joined
Real Madridin 2019, nobody could have known that after three years he would have fallen out of favor in Los Blancos’ squad under
Carlo Ancelotti
’s reign.
However, the Belgian was on the bench during their thumping 4-0 loss at the hands of
Barcelonaon Sunday, with his last game being on February 19, when he played only six minutes.
The Belgium international has now failed to play in all seven Clasico games that has been played in his time in Spain as he was dealing with injuries and fitness problems.
As per reports from
GOAL
, Hazard is frustrated by being omitted from Ancelotti’s ploys as he thinks those fitness problems are behind him.
The people who are close to him have said of his failed attempts to play against the Blaugrana:
“He really wanted to play the game. He's sad. He has never been as fit as he is today in his entire career.”
The 31-year-old believes he is doing everything to convince the manager of how valued he is but Ancelotti prefers Vinicius Junior on the left flank whereas Rodrygo and Marco Asensio fight for game time on the right of Karim Benzema.
Since the €100 million (£83m/$110m) transfer from
Chelseais not making any impression right now, Real Madrid intend to move Hazard in the summer of 2022.
The only feasible option might be a loan contract as his value has plummeted while trying to get a lucrative contract is not going to be easy.
It remains to be seen what will happen in the summer transfer window.
