Barcelona on Spotify Camp Nou deal

Barcelona have experienced naming rights for Camp Nou attached in their sponsorship deal for the first time in their history, as they penned with Spotify.

Barcelona

have announced that they penned a long-term sponsorship deal with Spotify and they named rights for Camp Nou.

The stadium, which is going to be renovated until 2025, will have commercial branding in its title for the first time.

It is going to be known as Spotify Camp Nou and the music steaming’s name will be on the shirts of both men and women’s team, starting from next season and for four seasons after that.

Spotify will replace Japanese e-commerce company Rakuten on Barcelona’s shirts, according to the deal. Although the terms are yet to be disclosed, the Rakuten contract is reported to be worth €55million a season.

 Barcelona president Joan Laporta said in a club statement.

"This partnership will allow us to continue to bring the club closer to its fans and make them feel, even more, part of the Barca family through unique experiences, combining two activities such as entertainment and football, making it possible for us to connect with new audiences around the world.

"It is also a union with which we continue to take steps forward in this new era that we have started, and which demonstrates, once again, the innovative character and the constant search of excellence that distinguish Barca and have made it a unique club in the world."
