Burkina Faso reaches the AFCON semi-finals

Burkina Faso reaches the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals by defeating Tunisia.

Dango Ouattara’s

goal was enough to secure the victory for

Burkina Faso

against

Tunisia

and take his side to the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals in a game that Tunisia had everything under control at least during the first half, although they received the goal in that half.

It was Dango Ouattara’s first international goal, and it can be the most recognizable goal in his career as it helped his side join the last four teams in the Africa Cup of Nations, although he will not be able to play for them as he received a red card in the 82nd minute of the game, because of hard challenge in the air and Kamou Malo’s men are going to face the winner of Senegal’s clash against Equatorial Guinea in the semi-finals.

Ouattara’s goal was provided by his teammate

Ibrahim Toure

, and he found the back of the net with a left-foot finish three minutes into stoppage time.

Tunisia and the fans were getting ready to see the game go the extra time as they had a chance to change the result when the referee decided to check the pitchside monitor by VAR to see if he has to give Tunisia a penalty and then decided that it wasn’t a penalty.
