United expect Newcastle to offer a permanent deal for Lingard

Newcastle are keen on signing with Jesse Lingard, but they have yet to reach an agreement with the Red Devils.

Newcastle

are negotiating with

Manchester United

to acquire the services of

Jesse Lingard

on a loan deal before their Premier League battle against

Leeds United

.

The Red Devils are looking for a permanent deal for the England forward, while a loan deal is better for Newcastle and the player with the relegation risk that hangs over the North East club.

Apparently, Newcastle have to offer big money for the deal to happen this month and United know that this is the last chance to get a transfer fee for the player, who may depart the club as a free agent in the summer.

The 29-year-old and Kieran Trippier share a good relationship, and he has recently made a move to Newcastle from Atletico Madrid.

However, Lingard can start speaking with foreign clubs regarding a pre-contract agreement, and Newcastle should keep that in mind.

The fact that the Magpies are not competing for the title can help their offer as another club interested in Lingard’s services is Tottenham.

The midfielder was promised to play more under the reign of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but he was sacked in November.

Lingard’s chances are not improved under Rangnick, who replaced the Norwegian tactician.

Due to his lack of game time, he was absent from the England squad for most games in November, after which he said that he wanted to play regular football before the World Cup 2022.
