Szczesny thinks he was lucky against Roma

Juventus boss who had an important part in their victory talks about his performance.

In a night that

Juventus

managed to come back from two goals down and defeat

Roma

in a Serie A clash that ended with the Bianconeri’s 4-3 victory,

Wojciech Szczesny

should be considered their hero because of the penalty he saved in the 81st minute of the game.

Despite the importance of the penalty, the 31-year-old somehow gives away the credit for what he did, insisting that it was mostly luck rather than skill.

“It’s a great feeling to save a penalty at such an important moment in the game. I did everything I could not to save it though, because when I did the fake I did it too early, but I was lucky because Pellegrini shot it at me. But it was a good feeling.

“Yes, I was lucky rather than good. Pellegrini shoots two kinds of penalties, I did the feint on the run-up and I was out of time, I was a bit off balance.”

The high profile Polish goalkeeper has also talked about their performance under

Max Allegri

, insisting that they lack personality, and that has nothing to do with their quality.

“We’re getting there but we still lack a bit of personality, the Juve DNA. We have players who have important qualities, but we need to give them time to get used to playing under pressure.”
