Howe disappointed following their FA Cup defeat

Newcastle boss has talked about his side’s performance against Cambridge.

Eddie Howe

has only one victory since joining

Newcastle

and replacing

Steve Bruce

, and their defeat in their most recent game against the League One side

Cambridge

has made the situation even worst, and the coach has talked about the matter admitting that he is devastated for the supporters as they had to watch their side lose to a team from League One.

"We're devastated for them.

"A great atmosphere, incredible feeling all the way during the game, even when we went behind, really willing the team to find an equalizer.

"It didn't totally surprise me - since I've been here, that's what the supporters have been like.

"Devastated for them, feel their pain and it motivates me to try to repay their faith and their support by winning games very soon."

The defeat was not the only bad thing that happened to them, according to the head coach, as he revealed that their high-profile striker

Callum Wilson

is going to be sidelined for eight weeks.

"He had a scan yesterday, because there was a slight doubt over his initial scan and we needed to let it heal a bit further.

"I think he's going to be out for eight weeks."
