We're at a disadvantage by not having fans at home - Russell Martin

Swansea boss reflects on new COVID-related restrictions.

Due to the new outbreak of the coronavirus’ Omicron variant in Europe, Wale’ government has imposed new restrictions suggesting that no sporting event can have more than 50 spectators.

Although the fans can still attend the matches in England,

Swansea

boss Russell Martin suggests that these new restrictions can work in their disadvantage.

"We're at a disadvantage by not having fans at home,”

Martin said.

"We're at a disadvantage financially. It's affecting us already and it affects January.

"It will take a bit more working out from the people back at the stadium. Once they work all that out, we will pretty much know what we have to work with.

"But the landscape has already changed and I expect it will change again at some point.

"We've been told it's the next three games. After that we don't know what's going to happen."

Having lost three of their last five domestic matches, the Swans are standing 16

th

in the Championship table.
