Mbappe becomes the youngest player with 30 UCL goals

Mbappe beats his teammate’s record of the youngest player to score 30 UCL goals.

Paris Saint-Germain’s

star,

Kylian Mbappe

, has scored his 30th goal in the Champions League at the age of 22 years and 352 days,  to become the youngest player in the history of the competition to reach that number, breaking

Lionel Messi’s

record who had reached this number when he was 23 back in 2010.

Each of these players scored two goals in Paris Saint-Germain’s Champions League clash against

Club Brugge

, securing a 4-1 victory for their side, which made it like a competition between the two superstars.

Mbappe opened scoring 70 seconds after the match’s kick-off, which was the Parisians’ earliest goal in the Champions League since Edinson Cavani’s goal in the 40th second of their match against Arsenal in 2016. Mbappe didn’t seem satisfied with one goal as he found the net again six minutes later to double the lead for the home side.

In the 38th minute of the game, Messi scored his side’s third goal by Mbappe’s assist to take part in the Parisians’ victory night and send them to the locker with a three-goal advantage, then in the 76th minute, he scored another one from the penalty spot to show his quality once again.
